The Solicitors Chambers was an idea created by three local solicitors in 1999. The three solicitors included Christopher Morton and Stephen Swan. They had the idea of providing specialised criminal advice in the Pontefract and Wakefield area. Since 1999 expert advice has been provided in cases involving minor road traffic offences to the most serious of murder. Both Christopher and Stephen provide expert representation in the Magistrates Court. They have also attained their Higher Rights of Audience enabling them to represent defendants in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal.

Karen Kemp joined the firm in 2001 and supports both Christopher and Stephen.
